Well the joy out of wearing incredibly beautiful clothes on the ramp probably felt on the stages of Bangalore Fashion Week 2016 which took center stage from February 4, 2016 to February 6, 2016. And I as an INIFDian got to attend the 14th edition of Blender’s pride Bangalore Fashion Week- summer online, powered by Snapdeal hosted at Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel.
With over 40 designers Bangalore Fashion Week 2016 has set the bar higher for upcoming fashion weeks in the city. Like a book store of fashion, it had it all – from gracious, westernized designs, to rich traditional lehangas and sarees. As well the celebrities who came such as Gautam Gulati (Winner Big Boss 8), Waluscha D’souza (Super Model), Urvashi Rautela (Miss India Universe 2012), Mandana Karimi (Big Boss 9), Nicole Faria (Miss Earth 2010) and all the other gracious stars gave whole the audience many insights of fashion on fashion ramp.
So the shortlists of “the fashion angels”of the entire affair was as follows,
The ethnic look with Ikkal, Jute silk and cool colours in Hemanthsiree’s collection-MAARG was fabulous. The next was by SUVAGATA DAS aimed to revive the hand blocked printing art from Rajasthan on flared trousers, skirts and shrugs with amazing combination of matching jewelries. Then came the style fairy couture by MABLE THOMAS, titled Taj – the epitome of love, which showcased a modern take on traditional bridal wear and wedding trousers which was soothing our eyes by colours. RAMESH DAMBLA showcased royal bridal collection and created a trademark style that is modern and elegant yet unconventional. The simple sophisticated,westernized outfits were showcase by Oxolloxo, Houte Couture collection by MICHELLE SALINS in bright and subtle colours for flairy skirts, Jumpsuits and filled silhouettes definitely stood out.
Mainly a due –designer collections showcased which was so talented two brains together, KANDEI by DEEPSHIKA AND NIDHI showcased western outfits with peppy , pop art prints and bold colours. Design by PRALIK AND PRIYANKA aimed at contemporary woman who fits into two worlds the modern as well as traditional in sexiest way retrospectively of their work experience.
Shortly it was a stunning night, NIHARIKA VIVEK & BIJAY GUPTA presented a double show and unveiled timeless designs by in fusing indo-western plus Arabic touch. Rani Pink by INDRANI ROYAN recreated mesmerizing vibes in garments for an Indian women and ASHOK MAANAY’s take on infusing mandarin pattern on Indian wear was outstanding. The Urban Factory brought fashion from the streets of Milan to the runway which was rocking the show.
The final day, the creative energies focused on celebrating fashion kept us happy – ANCHAL JAGGI brought a marvelous embroidery theme umbrella rich in indigo colours and interesting show. Faconner by ARSI JAMAL magically brought us to royalera with gorgeous ethnic wears define womens grace and men’s proudness infused with traditional Lucknowi embroidery and rich zardasi in vibrant colour.
The finale magical surprise by PRIYA KATAARIYA PURI, hosted a modern racy and edgy collection of luxury beach and resort wear inspired by life at St.Tropez in French Riviera.
The astonishment of the gorgeous Blender’s pride Bangalore fashion week 14th stars full fashion night got over like this with a comma of high curiosity for the next chill 15th winter edition….
